Surface “An Advanced Safety Engineering Academy” stepped into the world of Petroleum Safety education in 2018 by a Group of Professionals. Budded up with Diploma in Petroleum Safety and PG Diploma in Petroleum Safety. Later in course of time Advanced Diploma in Petroleum Safety courses also came into stream. Thus took a milestone in booming up in BSc Petroleum Safety course affiliated to Singhania University established by the Government of Rajasthan.

The placement cell of Surface Institution has provided with ample opportunities to more than hundreds of students to attain their career goals in several prestigious companies like ISCCO, OCC, Kaefer, Descon, STS, L&T, CR, Emdad etc. Apart from providing placements to students the institution also provide proper career guidance by personality development through several life skills, seminars and communication workshops.
Aiming to develop and strengthen students – intellectual, emotional, physical abilities and enable them to think, reflect, assess and verbalise. We employ highly qualified professionals in moulding the students with self reliant and independent to face life’s challenges in the field of Petroleum Safety.
BSc Petroleum Safety Course is designed in imparting an insight to hydrocarbon industry. The students are configured competent to resolve all HSE issues in Petroleum industries.
The curriculum of BSc Petroleum Safety covers Upstream, Midstream and Downstream activities ranging from concepts to decommissioning. Students can identify and deal with HSE issues in Seismic Survey, Drilling Rig Operation, wellhead related jobs, Crude Oil – Production, Processing, Refining, Petrochemical etc. The curriculum also rolls through Designing. Technical, EPC, Practical and Behavioural aspects of HSE Management.
The BSc Petroleum Safety course mainly focus on the contents Industrial Safety Management, Advanced Chemical And Mechanical Engineering, Safety in Upstream Petroleum Industries, Safety in Engineering, Chemical and Construction Industries. The course also covers detailed study of International Standards like NFPA, ASME, API etc. Industrial Hygiene and Occupational Health, Ergonomics and Human Factor Engineering, Advanced Safety Management Concepts.
Moreover Surface Institute also provide the students with certain training programmes in collaboration with Cochin Shipyard on Fire Fighting, Inplant training at FACT Cochin, Kerala. The students are also given training on AGT, Confined Space, Risk Management, H₂S, Safety and First Aid.
The Institute emphasises on quality and ethics, thus developing enthusiastic students in the field of Petroleum Safety. Surface Institute assures to provide highly talented young professionals.
Apart from the Institute’s academics it will be a great exposure for the students to deliver their service in the organisation.
